Phacoemulsification Technology

Project Overview
Focused on demystifying Phacoemulsification technologies for healthcare professionals, this project aimed to provide an exhaustive overview of Phaco machines, detailing their components, settings, and practical applications in cataract surgery.

Objectives
To offer a comprehensive education on Phaco technologies, contextualising its use within ophthalmology, and ensuring learners grasp the machinery's components, settings, and operational uses.

My Contribution

  • Drafted the initial project outline and oversaw its development stages.
  • Facilitated communications between SMEs and clients to align project goals with educational outcomes.
  • Worked closely with SMEs to ensure content accuracy and relevance, starting from zero to create an engaging and educational module.
  • Engaged with cross-functional teams to integrate interactive elements, making complex machine settings understandable.
  • Led the project from concept to completion, ensuring interactivity and educational value in the module.

Reflection
Tackling this project highlighted the importance of presenting intricate technical content within a broader educational framework. Starting from scratch allowed me to guide the content's depth and complexity, ensuring it remained accessible. My focus was on creating an interactive module that not only informed but also engaged learners, making the complex nature of Phaco technology easier to digest.
